CartLuxury

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data CartLuxury collects when you visit www.cartluxury.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain language.

Who we are

CartLuxury is an independent online publication and we are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@cartluxury.com.

The short version

  • You can read everything on this site without creating an account or giving us any personal details.
  • The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Cookies may be set by our advertising, analytics and affiliate partners, as explained below.
  • We never sell your personal data.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Information we collect

Technical information. Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically records basic technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure, fix problems and understand overall traffic. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted by our hosting provider.

Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

Information collected by partners. Our advertising, analytics and affiliate partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in the next section.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, such as health information, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Here is how they are used on this site.

  • Our own cookies. None for readers. A single essential cookie is used only when our editors sign in to manage the site.
  • Advertising. We show ads served by Google and, in future, other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.
  • Analytics. If we use an analytics service, it uses cookies to tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit and which articles they read. [Name your analytics provider here, for example Google Analytics, or delete this point if you do not use one.]
  • Affiliate links. Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie to record that you came from our site, so we can earn a commission if you buy something. That cookie is governed by the retailer's own privacy policy.

Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

Your advertising choices

Third-party services we use

  • Hosting. Our website and server logs are stored by our web hosting provider.
  • Fonts. Our typefaces are loaded from a third-party font service, so your browser connects to its servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, as described above.
  • Share buttons. Our social sharing buttons are simple links. They send nothing to social networks unless you click one, at which point that network's own privacy policy applies.

Some of these providers may process data outside the country where you live. When that happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate protection for personal data, as required by law.

How we use your information

  • To run, secure and improve the website.
  • To show advertising, which funds our free content.
  • To measure which articles are useful to readers.
  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

How long we keep information

We keep emails for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Data collected by partners is kept according to their own policies.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to our systems to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will change the date at the top of this page whenever we do, and we will highlight significant changes on the site.
